We offer a range of services to assist the buyer with the purchasing process. Many of the processes are time consuming and benefit from, if not require, a Greek speaker. The following services are applicable if you are buying a completed property or just a piece of land:

• We can help non-residents to set up a power of attorney which will allow someone local to sign official documents on your behalf when you are not available in Zakynthos.
   
• Obtain a Greek tax number. Land and property cannot be purchased without this. This may also be required to open a bank account.
   
• Help obtaining a residents permit if necessary.
   
• Introduce you to a local bank where you can open an account. This will enable you to transfer funds from the UK.
   
• Help you find an English speaking lawyer.
   
• Make arrangements with the Notary who will draw up the contract.
   
• Deal with payment of land purchase tax.
   
• For holiday homes we can provide regular maintenance services. We can also help with paying utility bills, finding home insurance and liaise with an accountant to complete your annual tax return. We can even help you furnish the property.
   
• If you wish to rent the property during your absence, we can arrange regular cleaning and key holding service.

These services apply to those who wish to purchase land and have a house built:

• Liaise with an architect who will design a house to your specifications or make changes to one of our standard designs.
   
• Assist with the application for building permission.
   
• Deal with all aspects of the building process from digging the foundations to handing over the key to your new home. This includes payment of IKA (social security for the workers) and VAT to comply with the building permit.
